Restaurant in Kaluga
No, it’s not just a simple restaurant (we never do anything simple). This is both a greenhouse and an all-weather public space.
The idea was inspired by the spacecraft project of Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky. Kaluga is closely associated with the name of this wonderful inventor and outstanding scientist. The project on the central street of the city should be a part of this story, broadcasting and embodying the ideas of the thinker.
The laconic glass volume of the restaurant harmoniously fits into the building of the street, while the unusual space structure of glass blocks inside the building creates a special atmosphere of alienation. Plants under a glass dome add year-round landscaping to Kirov Street. And in front of the facade, we designed a small linear square, suitable for various use cases.
